Scones are one of my favorite sweets. They’re perfect for brunch or breakfast, and they taste amazing when paired with tea. Here is a simple recipe for soft, slightly sweet scones. They’re lovely!
2 Cups of Flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup of sugar
1 1/4 cups of heavy cream
3 tsp of unsalted butter
optional (3/4 cup of chocolate or cinnamon chips)
Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, heavy cream, and chocolate/cinnamon chips
Transfer dough to floured surface. Sprinkle the dough with flour.
Knead the dough 10 times.
Use a rolling pin to flatten dough. Use a round cookie cutter and cut our the scones.
Brush the scones with melted butter. Sprinkle with 2-3 tsp of sugar (This is optional).
Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
